The United States has taken many different routes to combat their bee decline problem. One solution they have tried is to make more federal land friendly to bees. Several federal agencies are having to figure out ways to grow plants on federal land that are in large variety and friendly to the bees. The U.S government is requiring agencies such as the Department of Interior, Housing and Urban Development, and the Department of Transportation to take part in this plan by having bee friendly landscaping on their land. Another solution that has been put into action is the increased amount of money spent on research on this concerning topic. The U.S is hoping this will lead to discoveries of possible new solutions, or other causes to the dramatic losses in bees. With this information, the U.S could potentially come up with new solutions and other ways to prevent the issue from worsening. The United States is also acknowledging the use of fewer pesticides. This solution is being considered quite carefully because if pesticides were to be completely taken away it would affect the process of food production and the amount in which would be produced. Although these pesticides are helpful they are one of the biggest influencers of bee decline. The U.S has made efforts to limit their use of pesticides but it is doubtful that they will ever completly get rid of them. The U.S has come up with several solutions to fight this worldwide growing problem.
